what happens if you fill your buffer with a known pattern (red and blue
stripes, whatever) and blit it to the screen?
(ok, so to do that, have a read of icefloe #08. Using QuickTime for
Fast and Flexible Drawing )

my thoughts here are if there is something wrong with your buffer
setup, this will break too, otherwise it might be something to do with
the GraphicsImport stuff.

perhaps you could post some code.
