Playing MP3 files

Hi,

I use Quicktime to play MP3 files but it gets dropouts anytime the hard drive
is accessed. I have played around with SetMediaPreferredChunkSize() and have
gotten some improvement. iTunes almost never gets any dropouts. Is there a
way to increase the number of buffers or is there some other way to improve
the dropout problem.

thanks
Jeff
