Does anyone know whether I could play generated QT MPEG-4 files on a
Archos multimedia player ???. This is the only info I can find about what it
needs to play them

Well, I for one have never even heard of an Archos multimedia player, never mind seen or used one. MPEG-4 isn't really my thing but I'm probably not alone. Why don't you apply a bit of empirical software engineering, ie. just *try* it and see if it works...?
