YUV questions

Hi

I'm using QTNewGWorldFromPtr to decompress .movs into a buffer with k422YpCbCr8CodecType as the format. When a RGB format codec (Aninmation or None) is loaded, the result is a green field. Is there a way to get the RGB data into YUV using quicktime calls? Or is there a way to test for the pixel format/color space and adjust my code to handle this?
