NewTrackMedia not thread safe!

myQTVRMedia = NewTrackMedia(myQTVRTrack, kQTVRQTVRType,
kQTVRStandardTimeScale, NULL, 0); from the VRMakePano.c library returns an error that it is not thread safe! Arghhh! It seems like creating new media is one of the most basic operations.
WHy is this not thread safe? -Ken
