Hi,

Hmmm, I can't speak for iMovie but here's some very quick and dirty code to
test the SetDefaultComponent call and it seems to work for me. I would try
this yourself from an application to confirm its operation.

Yep, this works but as soon as the application is finished, the default component is restored.
It seems this function can just change the search order of the programm executing it.
Is there a way to change it global for the whole system?



Can you send a cc to me so I don't have to wait for the digest?
