I am having an issue with text tracks in QT 7.x. In QT 6.5.x a white
text track with {keyedText:On} would result in white text with a
small black outline that would show well on any kind of movie images
(dark or light). With QT 7.x the slight black outline is gone, making
subtitles hard to see if the movie has frames with very light colored
images. Is the way QT 7.x does it a bug or supposed to be a feature?
As outlined text {outline} does not seem to have any effect it is no
longer possible to see movies with subtitles the same way it is done
on DVDs and in the cinema, white subtitles with a slight black edge
that are easy to read on any kind of background.
Does someone know a solution for this? Does it make sense to file a
bug or is the change 100% intentional?
