We are writing an encoding application. We could successfully encode
video using H.264 codec.
Can this codec be used for still image output formats like .PICT?
I tried the same with QuickTime 7 Player. Given a input movie file I
tried to encode using H.264 codec with the output format as .PICT
using following steps. But I got a blank image.
1. Open a movie file.
2. Select 'Export...' from 'File' menu.
3. Select 'Movie to Picture' as output format.
4. Click on 'Options...' and select H.264 as compressor type.
Is it a bug in QuickTme 7 or H.264 ? Should we disable H.264 codec
for output format '.PICT' ?
