hi,

the current function:

BAIL_OSERROR(EnterMoviesOnThread(0)); // kQTEnterMoviesFlagDontSetComponentsThreadMode CSSetComponentsThreadMode(kCSAcceptAllComponentsMode); // kCSAcceptThreadSafeComponentsOnlyMode : kCSAcceptAllComponentsMode

allowed me before to open a DIVX movie in a separate posix thread but this in QuickTime & produces the -2908 error...

Has the police been changed on this?

Also the following example from QuickTime Team has the same issue:

http://developer.apple.com/samplecode/ThreadsImportMovie/ ThreadsImportMovie.html

I set to posix/File Handler/All Components

and this seems to give also the -2908 error.
