Threads in quicktime

Hello,

I am currently making a movie capture and compress application with QT7 and have encountered a few problems with threads.
When using the CreateMovieStorage function, a thread is created and I can't find a way to stop it. I have tried using CloseMovieStorage, DisposeMovie and DeleteMovieStorage but it doesn't make any difference.
The second thread problem I encountered is when I use SGNewChannel. The first call creates 3 threads (for grabbing video from firewire) and the second call creates 1 (grabbing audio). After releasing using SGDisposeChannel and CloseComponent I still have 2 threads left, one from each call.

 Can anyone help ?
