Ok I found the issue. I'm also using "OsiriX Broadcasting.component" which grabs the screen and puts a source input so I can capture my desktop. If i use it, SoftVDigX doesn't work. I played a hunch and figured out the problem. Whoever wrote this other component is using 'soft' and 'appl' as the subType and Manufacturer to register their component. So this isn't going to work because OsiriX is already registered as the same thing as SoftVDigX: resource 'thng' (200, "") { 'vdig',// Type 'soft',// Subtype 'appl',// Manufacturer This is totally incorrect. Please contact the developer and make them aware of this issue. They should change this to something more appropriate such as 'OSRX' (or whatever) for the subType and an appropriate manufacturer signature i.e. not 'appl'. Apple also reserves all lower case. For the time being you've found the solution, don't use the OsiriX component if you want to play with the sample. edward Edward Agabeg WWDR Engineer QuickTime and Audio Worldwide Developer Relations Apple http://www.apple.com/developer http://www.apple.com/quicktime -- This message was sent from a personal account -- -- All views are mine and not necessarily shared by my employer -- |
