down-convert analog RGBHV to HD or HDV and then capture it with QuickTime...



I don't think you'd want to go to HDV anyway. HDV is highly compressed and essentially uneditable; you'd wind up converting to something else to edit or output in whatever your delivery format is going to be. Your best bet is probably the DVCProHD codec, because it's a good compromise between quality, storage space, and editability.

I have a feeling that any solution to your problem is going to be expensive. The ImagePro HD lists for $9000. If you could get a scan converter that gave you HD component at least, you could pipe that into a Kona card or something.
