Re: HTTP movies with a file reference

Could someone speculate on what will happen with a quicktime movie included in a web page with an http link, but where the movie is a reference movie pointing to external data files.

Will the movie load up in the browser, then try to resolve the data references (aliases) in the file and require those files to be 'mounted' on the computer playing the movie ? I assume QT will *not* try to get to the referenced files via the web server, or perhaps it will create relative URLs for the referenced files aliases and try that ?

When the plug-in finds an alias data reference it looks for the file on the local filesystem, and if it is not found it changes the data reference to a relative url.
