You could use pdActionRunInEventLoop. I think that was added in 6 but I can't remember exactly (certainly been around for a couple of years). See Modernizing QT TN for code and Movies.h. Also look for QTEventLoopDescriptionRecord in the header file. You pass a pointer to this record in QTStandardParameterDialogDoAction to set things up.
