I'm new to QuickTime, but learned how to record audio from the WhackedTV example.
I would like to allow user's of my application to record short words or phrases as captions.

The recording works, but it would be nice to add the ability to edit the audio.
i.e Display the audio track and allow the user to trim off the dead space, or select a portion of the recording.

Are there any code examples of the this?
Or, any pointers on where to begin?

They can do this very easily in Quicktime Player with QuickTime Pro installed.
