If a QuickTime video digitizer component has not been written for
your device, Sequence Grabber won't be able to use it. If you're on
windows, check out some third party video digitizer solutions. One
such is WinVDIG. There may be others.

What are the obvious things to check here ???? No Error code is
returned.
Just a null channel.
