Re: QTMovie writeToFile:withAttributes:

Hello,

I have now confirmed this crash-on-export issue is caused by
DV-NTSC decompressor with masked(clip/crgn atom) movie only.

Filed as new: radar 4560183.

This issue is still active under QT7.1. Sample movies are also included.

I have tried so long time with [theQTMovie writeToFile:withAttributes:].
But QTMovie instance seems to be unstable on my PowerBook...

I believe this method with no attribute dictionary (passing nil value), makes
simple reference movie, no modification to Movie object inside QTMovie.

But If I tried to do stress test including this method, "sometimes" it crashes...
"sometimes" it hang up... Following is sample test code.

I have found crash/hang at initWithFile, writeToFile, and release of QTMovie.
I have also tried QTMovieOpenAsyncOKAttribute properties with NO,
but it does not help...

What's wrong?
(Xcode 2.2.1+MacOS X 10.4.6+QT7.0.4 running on PowerBookG4)
(I have also filed bug ID 4509486 weeks ago)

I ran this code ten times in a row and did not see any crashes at all. Also on a PowerBook G4. Have you tried on any other machines?

Also, Radar 4509486 has indeed been received. No word on when it will be addressed.
