RE: Quicktime Pros Please Help!

Title: Message
Generally when the list doesn't answer a question it means to search the documentation a little harder.  With so little information it's hard to give specific advice, but I think with a little refresher about movie spatial characteristics you'll be able to make progress.  Take a look at "Working with Movie Spatial Characteristics" in the documentation, located here: http://developer.apple.com/documentation/QuickTime/INMAC/QT/iqMovieToolbox.32.htm

Detailed descriptions of when various track & movie clipping and transformations are applied are documented here:
http://developer.apple.com/documentation/QuickTime/INMAC/QT/iqMovieToolbox.b.htm#17431

Have you looked at the qtbigscreen or qtfullscreen samples to see how to display movies in full-screen mode?

Have posted this before but with no replies. Really need help on this one....

I want to transform a video track from full screen to half height placed in the center of the screen and then mask it off to give it rounded edges. I am using SetTrackMatrix and SetTrackClipRgn to achieve this.

Now the problem is that both functions don't appear to be able to work together. If a clip region (or matte) is applied to a track the matrix transformation is loss.

If this is common knowledge how else are you suppose to achieve this effect?! Is there a way to crop the source of a track rather than its destination?

ANY help whatsoever is highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Nick
