I've found another project, in C, which I can build and use.

I'm searching for a way to open a movie file in the project (with his full path) and not with a dialog box but as I don't know really well the C-language and "pointers" (because "QTNewDataReferenceFromFullPathCFString", "QTNewDataReferenceFromFSRef" or "CFStringCreateWithCString" use it), I'm a bit blocked so I'm looking for basic methods to do this, on the web.

I think it won't be too difficult to find.

But.. perhaps you (or someone else on this list) has a simple "OpenMovie" sample code in C to help me ?

Of course, then you end up with the compiler complaining about code problems. But, that's better than jam errors.

Um, unfortunately, once I fixed the code problem I ended up with an error from ResMerger (which, like Jam, is another older tool not normally used anymore). Looking at the resource files that are part of the project, they are all empty (both data and resource forks). This is not good. Thus, as far as I can tell, this project will never build.

Perhaps, some of you have samples codes or an URL to a good example in order to help me to create a simple QT player as I dealed with in the beginning ?

I'm really news to this and my boss wants a prototype of this for friday ... :-/
