ICM compression, AddMediaSample2 and AddSampleTableToMedia

Can anyone tell me why the standard sequence grabber of QT is a bit faster at writing video frames to disk than the CaptureAndCompressIBP example?

I'm wondering if it's (the Sequence Grabber) doing what is suggested in CACIBP:
"Note that this function adds each sample separately; better chunking can be achieved by flattening the movie after it is finished, or by grouping samples, writing them in groups to the data reference manually, and using AddSampleTableToMedia."

Using the SG, I'm seeing about 6.0-6.4mb per second written to disk (15fps at full res on a MBP) and using similar code with CACIBP, about 10fps (4.0 mb per second).

Regards,
Neil
