I want to ask, if I can use this method to pause the capture or not? If I can, how can I use it? If I want to resume the recording, do I just have to set setEnable to ‘YES‘ ?

How are you telling the difference between "stopped" and "paused" if you haven't tried setting it back to YES? Try it and see what happens.

If it doesn't work, you'll just have to stop, record to a different file, and merge them.

Of course I have tried to set it back to YES, but it didn't help. It just stopped. After setting back to YES it overwrote the old one because they had the same name. Maybe I should try to change the name then merge them.

Your original message said none of that, and gave the strong impression of you not having tried it. If it doesn't work, then it more than likely won't work. It looks like your best bet is to simply record another movie and merge it. I need to have pausing as well and this is how I'll be doing it; I don't see any other way.
