Do QTSS/playlists support Ref. movies?

I would like to utilize the scheduled playlist feature in QTSS Panther server to start live broadcasts, from various times and broadcast locations. Is this supported?
If not how would I go about doing something similar? Is there a way in QT to add a Ref. .mov to a layer?
