Too many 'I's in the beginning of that last sentence it difficult to read,
but I think I understand your question.

Be careful: 'Add' will insert the clipboard track(s) at the current time
of the movie (aka the playback head). 'Add Scaled' will use the selection.
If you ensure that you rewind before adding you will get what (I think)
you want
