Finding myself with difficulties accessing the Cleaner support boards I
thought I'd ask if anyone here has seen this:
Cleaner 5.1.2
MacOS 9.2.2
QuickTime 5.0.2
(very large project in process... trying to avoid upgrading mid-stream)
Cleaner encodes merrily along and then slows to a *crawl*.
If I pause Cleaner, do a fair amount of disk i/o intensive stuff in the
Finder, resume Cleaner performance improves significantly until it
eventually slows down again.
This problem seems to have come on over a period of time. I don't
recall seeing this on the same system several weeks ago.
The machine is off the network, running with minimal extensions and no
VM.
The encode is from dv source to a de-interlaced, scaled and image
adjusted intermediate master in essentially uncompressed MJPEG-A
