Trailer on Apple's site with screwy height param

I am CC'ing this post to email@hidden in the hope that it gets to
the right person directly.

This may not be the ideal place (where else?) but I was sent a link to
this trailer

<http://www.apple.com/trailers/paramount/paycheck/large.html>

... and noticed (Safari on 10.2.8) the tell-tale signs of an embed tag
which does not take account of the 16-pixel-high controller.

Actually it appears more than that. I see a mismatch in the the
Object/Embed code. The height specified in the OBJECT paramter is 280, and
the height attribute specified in the EMBED tag is 288. (Not even 16
extra! Strange. Maybe it's a clue for somebody with an erased memory*.)

I don't watch trailers very often, so I don't know if this is a one-off or
something more prevalent. If it is due to the new hoops that must now be
jumped through to satisfy 'that contentious patent', then it is perhaps
relevant on this list after all.

This makes me wonder how Apple is generating its tags these days. It
sticks in my mind that the compression settings for every trailer on
Apple's site are tweaked by hand, but surely that's not also true of
object/embed tags.

Brennan

* Watch the trailer if this makes no sense.
