Im just new to the group. Im doing research into video quality!
I need to find out some info ... I am using QT Player Pro to prepare MPEG-4
content.
But I need to find out some detailed information on the compression that is
being used.
1. If a supply a reference clip that is 25fps and I export it to MPEG-4 @
20fps - how is this new frame rate achieved - is there temporal resampling or
a frame dropping policy applied?
2. If I have a clip that is 176x144 pixels and I resize it to 100x80 -> how is
this spatial resampling done? Is there some sort of spatial filtering applied?
or is there just a re-definition of the pixel size?
Where can I find detailed information on the compression and export methods
used?
I have searched the website but cant find this information and also checked
through the java api to see if that would tell me what I needed to know - but
to no avail!
