Re: QT compatibility for iPhoto export movie



It's the cross fade I'm concerned about.

I don't know if iPhoto uses the built-in QT transition effects or pre-renders all frames but in both cases you shouldn't have to worry. However if it renders all frames - and in order to get a smooth transition you need a lot of them, like 15 fps - your files will become pretty big.


In that case you would probably be better off using either a motion video codec like Sorensen or use Liveslideshow <http://www.liveslideshow.com/> (it takes advantage of QT transition effects keeping file sizes very compact).
