Neil,
I have experienced similar problems when using relative URLs (although I am
not sure if my target users were using proxy servers - it is my guess). When
I used absolute URLs it solved the problem. Maybe try this if you are using
relative URLs when linking to the SMIL file or linking to the quicktime
files in the SMIL file.
