Frank,
You'll need a Windows box. Look for "K-Lite Codec Pack" (the latest version
is 2.71, I belive), install a Matroska splitter plus whatever decoders the
file uses (the video format is AVC, but the audio format is not specified in
the file name).
Once you're able to play the file in Windows Media Player, you should be
able to export to a usable format in any app that uses DirectShow (i.e.
Sorenson Squeeze).

I need to transcode a Matroska file (letterman.032906.h264-lq.mkv) into
QuickTime. Can this be done and, if so, how.
The latest VLC 0.8.4a will play it and promises to export it but crashes
whenever I try to export it.
