A webmaster colleague sent me the following link:

It looks like an innovative solution to the problem - especially for one customer who has hundreds of dynamically generated ASP pages with QuickTime content.

Whilst I know the Apple method works fine, the thought of trawling through all that code to change every occurrence of <object> and <embed> tags......

I haven't tried the above method, I'll try to do so over the next day to two.
If anyone gets there before me, I'd be grateful to know the result!
