Pretty sure he meant just what he said - CORE AVC is not available as a Quicktime component. Since you specifically mentioned their *decoder* Charles' response was dead-on - this is a Quicktime list, their decoder doesn't run in Quicktime, therefore... off-topic?

If you were actually meaning to ask about their *encoder* and it's compatibility with *Quicktime's decoder* then the source of confusion is obvious.

So what were you asking again?
