RE: IE WebFix Software for Active X problem!

Katy/Gary,

It’s nice of you to post an advertisement for a friend, but this is pointless when free and open solutions are available. It’s like trying to sell a _javascript_ to do rollovers.

Microsoft, Apple, and Adobe have all posted workarounds. Additionally, here’s a free _javascript_ that fixes this for all ActiveX controls.

Subject: IE WebFix Software for Active X problem!

Hi everyone,

I'm not a regular observer or contributor to this list, but thought you'd all be interested in an inexpensive, quick solution to the whole IE/Eolas Active X mess.

I bought IEWebFix in late 2003 and ran it on our site (with tons of pans and video) and other sites we produced with lots of QT content. At that time the software was only $35. Well, now that the ugly problem has reared its head again, I wrote to the company, RNSoft - http://www.rnsoft.com - to see if he had an upgrade. He didn't, but I used my old version and it worked!
