That's right. Regardless of source material channel order, you just need to mark their spatial assignments correctly (L, R, C, LFE, etc). When you mix down to stereo on export, the correct mix will happen.

in[00]: (1.000) (0.000)
in[01]: (0.000) (1.000)
in[02]: (0.707) (0.707)
in[03]: (0.000) (0.000)
