I cannot get the system to recognize my QT Pro registration key, or more
correctly, it will not stick. What I mean is that I will enter the code in the QT
pref panel, click "OK" and it accepts it. If I click "Register" button again,
the info I previously entered will be there and it will say "QuickTime: Pro
Edition". However, if I quit System Prefs and relaunch it, QT will show that I
still have only the Standard edition. Launching QT Player after entering the
code will still show only the standard options. I presume this is a
preferences problem, because the other QT settings I change also will not stick. I've
gotten the code work before and it has just stopped working since I
re-installed the OS recently.
