Yep, everybody thinks Steve Jobs saved Apple.  In actuality it was QuickTime.
Without QT, there is no x-platform iTunes, no generic architecture for reading/writing media
formats - all prerequisites to the success of iPod.

And if I understand it correctly, the QT team is largely Canadian.  So there you have it:
Canada saved Apple.  I saw it on Southpark so it must be true.
