That mpeg streamed very nicely. That is to say it started playing just after it loaded and continued till the end.
Incidentally the mpeg-4 file converted by QT played well in WMP. This is news to me.
.mp4 files are roughly half the size of mpeg-1 and look and sound the same. Just that not all viewers will have the necessary updated versions of the players.
Mpeg-1 run still offers the most reliably compatible format for all Oses...
