QuickTime audio missing

Sorry if this topic is old - just signed on to this list...... Created a small QT movie with iMovie HD on a Mac running latest OS and QT 7.0.3. Saved the movie as both a .mov file and a .mp4 file. Uploaded and tried viewing both online but there's no audio. I have QT Pro so I downloaded the movie to check if audio was lost via FTP upload - audio is OK on downloaded movie. I've looked at 4 or 5 QT related forums and the GoLive forum with no mention of this problem. What am I missing?
