Yes, I did select "play every frame" - Thanks Martin, I'll change it this evening.
The movie in question is at:
http://www.fowlplaces.com/whitter - a short video made for our daughter who's away at college.

The audio in your file plays just fine when downloaded. Once you've unchecked the "play every frame" setting it'll play in the browsers, too.

Is there a place online where there's enough info. on recent QT updates/upgrades where I can learn more about why I should or should not use 7.0.1, 7.0.3 or 7.0.4? (I'm curious as to why someone would go from 0.4 back to 0.1.)

In general there's no need to either upgrade or stay away from the latest dot-release unless you are experiencing problems with what you currently have. Usually the minor bug-fixes address very specific problems that might not apply to your use of QT at all, so there's really no rush to upgrade to the latest version.

If there's a problem with any update, QuickTime or other, it usually get's reported on sites as...
<http://www.macfixit.com/> or <http://www.macintouch.com/> fairly soon.

Personally I never install any upgrade unless I need to and/or it's been out and reported to be trouble-free for at least a week or so.

Never change a winning team :-)

Cheers	Martin
