Thank you Gary. I am aware of the Dictionary in the Script Editor,
but did not know about the four character code for unknown formats. I
will contact On2 and see what they say the Flix FLV export code is.
Thanks again.

Terry,
If you open the QuickTime Player terminology in Script Editor via
the Open Dictionary menu (or simply dropping the application on the
Script Editor icon), then select the export command in the
QuickTime Player Suite, you can see a list of 'known' export formats.
You can also specify an 'unknown' export format using the four-
character code of the export component. Simply pass a string
consisting of the four characters in question for the 'as'
parameter. You need to ask the vendor for their export component code.

Is there a current list of QT Player export formats that can be
called by Applescript? (Showing new ones like the "iTunes" format
for example.)
Also, is it possible to have QT Player export to a 3rd party
format via Applescript? I'm interested in automating the Flix
Exporter format to output to FLV but I can't guess what the format
name is. Their support didn't appear to fully understand the
question.
