Re: QT 7.1.3 and Flash support

I upgraded to QT 7.1.3 on Macintosh and it is true, exactly as stated.
This puts me in state of emergency.
When you look at the QT movie, there is no warning that there is a problem. People would never know what was wrong, or what they were missing with the disabled Flash.

So I'm trying to think of the best way to alert visitors with QT 7.1.3 of what they have to do to see my previous work. This certainly will change my work radically from now on. I guess it will all have to be in Flash. Luckily for me, the Flash FLV plugin is still working in QT Player, so you can export QT to Flash.

Hi everyone,

today I was notified of a possible problem with Flash content embedded in QT media after upgrading to the latest version of 7.1.3.

Apparently Flash support is disabled by default - you can check this in System Preferences -> QuickTime -> Advanced. Below 'Kiosk Mode' there's an additional check-box to enable Flash, but it's off by default.

Can anyone confirm that and what's the situation on Windows?
