> Could someone briefly explain to me the differences in files with mp4,
m4v, and mov extensions?
.mp4 and .m4v files are both MPEG-4 files, just with different extensions.
.mov is a QuickTime Movie.

file. Does that limit me to .mov?
Yes.
> Will using a .mov limit what devices can play back my content?
Yes. Only PCs and the iPod can play QuickTime Movies.
