Ford Oxaal has just posted a free Windows .exe viewer for interactively
viewing equirectangular images.
http://www.pictosphere.com/kwx/software.html
His Minds-Eye-Viewer is interesting in that it will use circular
perspective to allow zooming out beyond 180 degrees. Something that I'm
fond of because it's visually breathtaking to not be rectilinear all the
time. There's also a button that switches to a Pictosphere fisheye mode.
Other viewers that use linear perspective have a zoom limit and get
highly distorted (the wide angle vanishing perspective tunnel look) even
approaching 140 degrees. I hope he'll get a Java and Mac version out
soon.
