Re: quicktime-vr digest, Vol 3 #876 - 1 msg

Just as a reminder - you can generate a Director project of a VR cube as an output from CubicConverter. It makes things pretty simple in terms of generating a basic single-node VR. Of course, you still have to own Director to OPEN the .dir file you get from CC and create the Shockwave 3D executable.... Nothing a cool grand won't solve 8-{ In the end you would have a VR that doesn't need QT; you still would have to have the ability to do the Shockwave install.

You can definitly show your panos in a Director projector without QT
installed:

I work on a military base and we create QTVR's of cockpits, hangars,
facilities, etc. Most of our customers are technologically challenged
and do not have QuickTime on their computer. They can not download the
latest plug-in because of administrative firewalls, virus protections,
etc. Is there a way to save a QTVR as a self-contained file where having
QuickTime on your PC is not an issue (or any plug-ins for that matter)?
We have already tried creating a projector in Director and playing
around with QuickTime Pro. So far no luck...apparently you still need
the QuickTime app on your PC. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
