Re: Progressive Pano??

I haven't done a building site. I have done some landscapes in separate movies at different times or colors.

The idea of rotating through time is intriguing. It might have to be a linear movie because how could you stitch such different images together? You could put a disconnect of some sort between each separate image, like a lightning bolt or other transition border. One way to do it would be to make a separate pano for each time, then cleverly superimpose and feather the edges of the parts of the image from each time that you want. Maybe you could do it with hotspots.

Now I remember Eric's kitchen. Didn't he provide a way to watch his kitchen being remodeled? Blanpied. Still here:

Hi Bob,

I remember about 12-18 months ago somebody on this list posted a really cool example of a time lapse pano from a building site in the US somewhere. I'm thinking that it might have been Caroling ?

I may have an opportunity to document a construction project.

I was wondering if anyone has an example of a pano that uses a sort of
time lapse. That is, take a shot from a specific point and then take another
slightly rotated picture the next week, continuing around until you have 360
degrees with ~18 pictures for 18 weeks. I am not sure how the stitching
would work, but might be worth a try. The final stitch would have to somehow
blend the beginning of the construction and the completion point. Or just
tell QTVRAS that the images are not "wrapped".

Does anyone have any examples or suggestions?

Thanks, I have really enjoyed lurking on this list. The ideas and examples
have been great.
