Go to http://photopc.sourceforge.net and ask them, they might be able to help (also see the links they have there, I think the guy that did the Windows port of PhotoPC has some info on their page about how to make a dual USB and Serial wire for that DIGITAL I/O connector (so that one can use either USB or Serial with the same cable [plugging it appropriately], supposing their Coolpix model supports USB). Think they also have the wiring of that connector there
