360Texas, an excellent maker of VR tours, shared some of his work with
folks on the Panoweaver discussion lists. One of the really neat
effects he has in his panoramas is a tripod cap that doesn't rotate
with the VR. Instead, it maintains its orientation while the VR
rotates. Thus the message on the cap is always right side up. See the
effect here:
He has this done using a PTViewer java applet and has sketched out how
to do so on the Panoweaver forum. I wondered if anyone knew if this
was possible using QTVR? Would you have to do it with some sort of
layer or sprite? Is it a job for Livestage? It would be really neat
to have a logo at the bottom that doesn't spin.
Anybody have an idea of how to do this?
