Re:Is there a faq? Question about programming autorotate under Windows

Hi Ces

Unfortunately there is no such function in QuickTime Pro.

The easiest way to ad Autorotation is with RevolVR but it is only Mac.
You have to use Livestage or similar if you want to create your own
autorotation.

However there is one way. At this page by Steven Gulie
http://homepage.mac.com/qt4web/sprites/items.html
you can download several useful sprites ready to paste in the movie.
There is a good tutorial on the page.
For autorotation use the autorotate5sec.mov
If you want to see it in action look at Jook Leungs fullscreen from Times
Square. http://www.panoramas.dk/fullscreen2/full1.html
You can drag the page down to a smaller size if you want to see the function
for smaller sizes.
I have come to the conclusion that this is a very good way to point out for
people that this is not just an image. You will be supprised how little
people know about interactive QuickTime Panoramas.

During tha last months I read a lot of comments from people discussing the
full screens in the forums, and there are actually people who even if they
see the movie do not understand that they can actually move it around. Some
people just does not read what is said below or on info pages.

I hope you have seen this weeks full screen by Bostjan Burger
It is a fantastic view.
