All my posted panos were shot with an SLR.
There are actually a bunch of one shot systems. BeHere has been selling
a variety of one shot models since about 1996. Surround Photo has a one
shot model. There is the one you mention and there are a few others.
Some of our list members have also made their own one shot systems from
security mirrors, Christmas ornaments and other odd & ends.
Some of the medium format self spinning pano cameras produce great
quality shots.
Generally, the mirror based one shot systems don't give as good of a
quality as if you shot multiple shots with either a film or digital SLR
or even a prosumer digital camera. They are a great time saver though.
My recommendation is that you take your current equipment to where the
action is and give it a shot, you might be pleased with your results.
I think I might be hoping for the impossible. Living in Whistler, with all
the great activities that go on here, I am hoping to take some good sports
VR tours. If anyone has any other suggestions, please feel free.
BTW, a panorama is a panorama. A VR tour, OTOH, is a panoramic scene
comprised of multiple panoramas and other content, like maps.
