I also meant to address the size issue. The Vatican was concerned over 'copyright' and protection of the images. They did not want people being able to take screenshots of the contents at a high resolution, so these applets have been customised to only display at that size. If they decide to watermark the images with the Zoom Image Server being used then there is a possibility the panos/images will be shown at a larger viewing size.
