here is a panorama shot on a tall ship while it was sailing along ... http://www.mediavr.com/wind.htm shot on Sydney Harbour yesterday as we were about to go under the Harbour Bridge here the technical issues were mainly complex shadows, direct sunshine contrast and the need to shoot the sequence very quickly because of the moving platform I used a tripod here for camera location I chose a piece of the deck which was pretty plain - so I could fabricate some nadir shadows and detail without too much work first I made a shot with the camera looking directly into the sun with the sun shaded by my hand held like a blade from one side of the frame -- then a shot without my hand to get the rigging obscured by my hand I then crouched down for the shots with the sun behind me so my own shadow was less identifiably human ... and retouched out the tripod leg shadows mostly I used shore and deck features to stitch with as I thought the rigging and sails might be moving around too much ... I used 6 shots altogether shot in about 6 seconds ... we were going very slowly actually on calmish water ... any faster or any more swell and it would have been very difficult to stitch (there are still a one or two errors to go I know ... ) Peter Murphy www.mediavr.com/blog _______________________________________________ quicktime-vr mailing list | email@hidden Help/Unsubscribe/Archives: http://www.lists.apple.com/mailman/listinfo/quicktime-vr Do not post admin requests to the list.
